Liftoff TO SPACE APP
A launch-tracking companion built for people who happily wake up at 03:58 to watch Falcon 9.
- Clean launch cards with rockets, pads, orbits and countdowns.
- Notification and alarm modes tuned for real launch fans.
- Same data as on the Liftoff website, but always in your pocket.
Alarm-style alerts are not fully implemented yet. For now all reminders behave like regular notifications, but a loud dedicated alarm mode will be added soon.
Right now Liftoff App is only available as a direct Android APK download. There is no Google Play listing and no iOS build yet because developer accounts are expensive, and I first need more real-world feedback to see whether further development is worth it.
Notification modes
Choose how loud the app should be for each launch.Stay on top of launches without losing sleep.
Liftoff App reuses the same launch list as the website, but adds simple, readable controls for reminders.
- Off — no reminders by default, but you can still enable them per launch.
- Notification — subtle push notification with vibration.
- Alarm — full-volume alert designed to wake you up for critical missions (within your phone’s system limits).
You can set up to three reminders for every launch (for example 24 hours, 5 minutes and 1 minute before liftoff) so important flights never slip by.

Tap any launch card to open a full-screen view with mission photo, precise schedule in your selected time zone and a live T- countdown. Below that you’ll find rocket, pad, orbit, payload and landing sections reused from the web version.
- Stream button appears as soon as a webcast is available.
- Landings block shows droneship or landing zone, booster ID and flight number.
- Mission description is formatted for comfortable reading on a phone screen.
Roadmap
Liftoff App will grow together with the main Liftoff website.Liftoff App is currently in private testing and is not yet available in app stores. The goal is to keep the experience close to the web version while feeling natural on a phone.
-
Which platforms will be supported?
The first public versions are planned for Android. Other platforms will depend on how many people are using the app and what devices they have.
-
Will the app be free?
Yes, the core launch tracking features are planned to stay free. In the future there may be optional ways to support the project.
-
Where does the data come from?
Launch data is shared with the Liftoff website and is updated manually using trusted public sources and official providers where possible.
-
How can I follow development?
For now the best way is to follow updates on liftoffto.space and related social channels. When the public beta is ready, this page will be updated with download links.
